Coyoacán + Xochimilco guided tour
Coyoacán and Xochimilco are located on the south part from Mexico's downtown (Zocalo). The name Coyoacán comes from the Nahuatl and mostly means "the place of Coyotes" : This area is filled with single family homes, since most of them where mansions or country houses built in the colonial period, narrow cobblestone streets and small plazas.

Famous sites: Museum of Frida Kahlo, Parish of San Juan Bautista, Ciudad Universitaria (Public University), San Angel, Rosario Chapel, Estadio OlÃmpico (footblall stadium), etc.

Xochimilco is best known for its water canals, which are left from what was an extensive lake and canal system that connected most of the ancient settlements. The floating boats; Trajinera along with the Chinampas (agriculture lands) are a vestige of the area's pre-Hispanic past, and has made Xochimilco a World Heritage Site.
